The exhibition

Transiciones (Transitions) brings together twenty-one works by C. Sánchez in acrylic and mixed media on canvas. Its subtitle, Vacío (Void), starts from an idea: “that place which comes before everything”.

The show moves through nine series — Erosión, Vacío, Fracturas, Interior, Umbral, Palabras, Raíz, Ocaso Alba and Vida — from almost silent whites to ochres, blues and the darkness of Umbral. The paint builds up, is scratched and breaks open: these are paintings to see up close.

The works

21 works in acrylic and mixed media on canvas, in nine series. Tap one to see it up close and ask about it.

C. Sánchez

C. Sánchez paints in acrylic and mixed media on canvas, in thick layers that keep every gesture. The work comes in series and almost always starts from white, letting in ochres, blues, rust tones and, at times, handwritten words.
